  • Simple, website is a collection of related web info, images and videos.
  • It is a common Uniform Resource Locater (URL) consisting of only the domain name, or the IP address, and the root path ('/') in an Internet Protocol-based network.
  • Web Sites are accessed with the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP).

Types of Websites:

As per internet market we are consider 4 types of website which are:

  1. Government Websites
  2. Personal Websites
  3. Commercial Websites
  4. Non-profit organization Websites

Here website are to ways one is Static and Dynamic.

Static website:

Static websites can only really be updated by someone with knowledge of website development. Here we are using code language that is Hypertext Markup Language (HTML).

Advantages of static websites:

* Quick to develop

* Low Cost (or) cheap to hosting

* Cheap to develop

Disadvantages of static websites:

* Content can get heavy

* Requires web development proficiency to update site

* Site not as useful for the user

Dynamic Website:

This website created by dynamic code and dynamic content displayed in plain view. Variable content is displayed enthusiastically on the fly based on assured criteria, frequently by retrieving content stored in a database.

Advantages of dynamic websites:

* Much more functional website

* Work as a system to allow staff or users to collaborate

* New content brings people back to the site and helps in the major search engines

* Much easier to update

Disadvantages of dynamic websites

  • Slower
  • Bit of Costly Hosting.
  • More Expensive to develop
